to the Georgia Round Dance Teacher's Association homepage. We're glad you stopped by for a
visit.
The GRDTA is a group of teachers and cuers who
are from Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida and The Netherlands. Our
group was formed in 1986 and has flourished over the years to include over 25 teachers and
their dancing partners, all from various backgrounds. Please take a few moments to browse
our site, get to know us and what we're all about. If you have need of a cuer for your
dance, or need a series of classes taught in your area, please contact a teaching unit in
your area and allow us to meet your round dancing needs.

GRDTA News
- We would like to welcome into the GRDTA it's newest
members......please make welcome Susie & Gert-Jan Rotscheid and Carol Ann Ramey.
- The GSSDA Winter Dance was held on January 8, 2011 in LaGrange, Georgia. Carol Ann Ramey
was the local host cuer for Friday night and the host cuer/GRDTA member for Saturday night
was Carlene Bohannon. GRDTA members Tim Eum/Cindy Hadley, Misty & Schyley West,
and Matthew Temples/Ramona Stowe were the teachers for Saturday morning. Mike
McDonald, Rochelle & Larry Cronkite and Peggy & Doyle Ellington were also present
with cueing duties.
- The GSSDA Spring Dance will be April 30, 2011 in Rome, Georgia. The host cuer is Mike
McDonald, and the GRDTA representative cuer to contact is Bob Hange.
- The GRDTA is hosting its Annual
Educational Clinic in Blairsville, GA on November
11-12, 2011. The clinicians this year will be Dick & Karen Fisher.

- The Georgia State
Singles will have a dance on May 6-7, 2011 in
Commerce, GA. Chris Burchfield is the caller and Matthew Temples & Ramona Stowe

Retreat will be in Gatlinburg, TN on May 13-14,

Atlanta Area North (Conyers,
GA - Lon & Judy Bedillion)
- Rock-a-Rounds
is a round dance club in Covington, GA. They dance on the first Wednesday of each
month at the Fire Hall at 3962 Salem Road, Covington, GA. For more information,

Augusta Area Round Dancing (Augusta,
GA - Nell & Jerry Knight)
We dance 3rd Fridays (7:00 - 10:00) and 5th Sundays
(2:30-5:30) at Gracewood Community Center on Tobacco Rd, Augusta,GA 30906. Since we
dance at the county owned recreation center we can be "bumped", so anyone coming
from out of town might call [706-863-0058] or e-mail
prior to making a trip.
North East Georgia Area Round Dancing
(Cornelia, GA - Matt & Ramona)
- Round dancers in the North East Georgia area can enjoy an All Round Dance Sunday Afternoon
once a month in Cornelia, GA. All levels of round dancing are available. Click Here for details. Your cuers for these Sunday Dances have
traditionally been Shirley Wilson, Sandy Brown & Matthew Temples. Recently, we
unexpectedly lost Sandy Brown when she passed away in February. For now, Shirley and
Matthew will continue these Sunday Dances just the two of them, but soon, they will be
bringing in guest cuers throughout the remainder of the year to make it a three person
lineup again.

- Round dancers in the Upstate of South Carolina can enjoy an All Round Dance Sunday Afternoon
once a month in Anderson, SC. These dances are at the Phase II & Phase III

Eastern Tennessee Area Dancing
- 37th Tennessee State Square & Round Dance
Convention - "A Dancer's Heaven in 2011" -

Tennessee, and many of the GRDTA member cuers are lending their talents to help support

Kinion from South Carolina.
Western North Carolina Area Round Dancing
- Mountain Magic Round Dance Weekend - March 25-27, 2011 - with Jerry & Barbara Pierce - Murphy, NC.
This is a phase IV and V weekend. Nightly dances and daytime workshops and clinics
